This tutorial is purposely brief because its intended to teach a simple way to interact with information available from the Cardboard SDK, not neccessarily how to build an entire tetris game.

If you enjoyed this series, we encourage you to continue and add to this project! Here are a few ideas:

  • Add a check for a gameover state. Could easily be implemented in the Block script's update function by checking the location of stationary blocks and if they are above a certain point.
  • Add in a way to restart the game while playing on Cardboard.
  • Create some visual or audio notification when a row is cleared.
  • Thanks so much for following along! We hope you enjoyed it and learned something you'll find useful! If you would like us to go more into detail in this tutorial and put together a full VR Tetris game, feel free to email us at contact@leadingones.com
